The pituitary gland is a small, globular gland located underneath the brain that plays a major role in the hormonal system. It synthetizes and release reulatory peptides that communicate the need or the exaggeration of hormones for the thyroid gland, the adrenals and gonades, for instance. Due to this central role played in our biology,
